Alex came to the Missouri Job Center as a justice-involved individual seeking assistance with reintegration into the workforce after incarceration. He asked about information on attending training for welding but was not sure that was the field he wanted to pursue. His Career Coach reviewed the results of his assessment tests with him and discussed options. The decision was made to place him in the Work Experience Program to investigate computer technology, also an interest of his.

He was placed with Insite Support Services, a local employer, as a customer service technician. Alex was a model employee and after finishing his 300 hours of work experience the employer hired him directly with the company in a full-time position.

Director of Operations from Insite had this to say:
“Working with the Career Center through the Work Experience and Job Leagues programs has been a great experience. It has proven mutually beneficial—supporting our organization as an employer while providing valuable opportunities to individuals seeking employment. These programs and the career center have enabled us to dedicate more time and resources to training employees who require additional support in developing new skills. Elise and Brittaney have been outstanding to work with. The entire community is fortunate to have access to such a valuable resource.”
