The Southwest Region WIOA Partnership strengthens the economy by aligning workforce and human services, providing training and support for job seekers, especially those with barriers to employment. Through collaboration and innovation, it connects businesses with a skilled workforce to foster sustainable careers and economic growth.

Vision Statement: 

Enrich the region’s economy by preparing businesses and the workforce for global competitiveness.  Guiding principles that support the mission are engagement, innovation, leadership, accountability, and focus. Engaging youth and individuals with barriers to employment while leveraging resources of the WIOA partners to provide a full array of appropriate services in order to focus, train and preparefor the future needs of employers.

 

The Southwest Region WIOA Partnership aims to increase access to and opportunities for employment, education, training and support services, particularly for individuals with the greatest barriers to employment, through stronger alignment of workforce system and other human services systems in order to improve the workforce system. To accomplish this the Partnership agrees to provide an integrated service delivery method that is accessible, customer focused and performance based. Equip job seekers and existing workers with high- quality career training and supportive services needed to obtain and maintain a quality job/career path and support a system that values all partnerships and the resources available, through consistent collaboration and communication in order to meet the needs of our shared customers.
