Before connecting with the Southeast Workforce Development Region Job Center, Chad found himself in a situation many hardworking people recognize—unemployed since December 2025 and ready for a change that could move his career forward.
Chad was selected for a RESEA appointment in February 2026 due to his unemployment, and a referral was made to the WIOA Program after he expressed interest in attending training and broadening his horizons. When WIOA staff first spoke with Chad, it was clear he was eager to explore training opportunities in high-demand fields like AI and CDL, looking for something that could help him level up his career.
Chad was eager every step of the way. He completed a WorkKeys assessment, earning a Bronze National Career Readiness Certificate, and was then enrolled in WIOA along with the Quest National Dislocated Worker Grant, which would help fund his training.
Chad decided to pursue IT & AI Technician training through National Trade Tech, a program that leads to a CompTIA A+ Certificate. He was excited to dive in, especially with AI being such a major topic of discussion today. Like many students, he faced some early setbacks—computer issues and challenging lessons—but he pushed through. Along the way, Chad has gained the knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and solve problems on his own, and he continues to work through his classes and persevere eagerly toward success.
Chad is expected to complete his training by November 2026, positioning himself for a promising new career in the growing field of information technology.
